A tranquil shady patio area with barbeque and patio bar enhances the tranquil garden atmosphere where guests can relax. Breakfast served on the patio or indoors in the exquisitely furnished dining room.
7th Street guesthouse is also very centrally located in the 7th street cul de sac on the corner of 7th Street and 7th Avenue. The Guest House is within walking distance of the trendy and vibrant restaurants, cocktail lounges, pubs, bookstores, and art galleries in Melville's renowned 7th Street as well as the SABC, Media24, The Universities of Johannesburg and the Witwatersrand and Milpark Hospital being a mere 5 minutes away. Main hubs such Rosebank, Sandton,Cresta , the Johannesburg CBD and Newtown are only 10-15 minutes away. We are also near all major freeways and a comfortable 25-30 minutes away from OR Tambo International Airport and Lanseria Airport.
Airport pickups and transfers can be arranged on request as well as guided tours to Soweto, the Apartheids Museum, the Cradle of Human Kind, the Kruger Park and many others venues of your choice. Secure parking for guests available on the premises.

Conference Centre:
The 7th Street Guesthouse Conference Centre is an ideal 4 star conference centre that can comfortably host up to 30 delegates and is fully equipped with internet access, printing and copying facilities line, overhead projector, large pull down screen, surround sound, DVD, desks with comfortable seating, secure parking for delegates and all standard conference equipment. The conference centre is in immaculate condition for business presentations and our outside patio is ideal for breaks with lunches and separate patio tables for cell discussions. The Guesthouse is also able to provide in-house catering on request for the delegates and accommodation can also be arranged for longer conferences.
The conference centre is also perfect for events such as anniversary parties, birthdays, religious celebrations/events. We gladly accommodate guests for events as well. Pricing on request and according to your requirements.

on which we provide a 20% discount on our rates, including breakfast. The discounted rate per luxury room is: R590 single per night R395 per person sharing per night The rate per comfort room is: R500 single per night R350 per person sharing per night Kindly note that a 50% deposit is required is required to secure the booking. Bookings that are made 0 - 7 days before the date of arrival are to pay 100% of the booking cost as soon as the invoice has been issued. Cancellation Policy: Please note: If a booking is made 0-7 days before the date of arrival, 100% of the booking costs are to be paid as soon as the guest has been invoiced. If a booking is made 15 days or more before the date of arrival a 50% deposit is required to secure the booking and the outstanding amount is to be paid on arrival and any additional costs on departure. Terms & Conditions
- The property (you) must offer the 15% saving to all verified members
- Verification is done automatically at the time of an enquiry. It is at the property’s discretion whether to offer the saving for a telephonic enquiry. (As you have no means to verify the membership number, it is advisable to get them to do a formal enquiry so they can be verified).
- If the property is currently running a "Special" greater than 15% then the "Special" price will apply. (No further savings needs to be offered). EXCEPT in the case where the "Special" is lower than 15%. In that case the 15% will apply.
Example: A property offering a 10% discount, must offer an additional 5% discount to valid members - so they get a total 15% saving. - The property must offer valid members the saving all year round. (Properties that pick and chose in which seasons to participate run the risk of being removed from the programme completely. Allowing selective participation defeats the integrity of this initiative).
- The property must not inflate the price before the 15% is applied. Prices displayed should be the rack rate. (The official or advertised price of a room).
- The property must honour any bookings made while the property was participating as a $elect Stays property.
- The property must honour the agreement and the spirit in which the initiative is designed to benefit local tourism.
