Silver Lakes is an upmarket, well sought after area in Gauteng where you can enjoy complete relaxation away from the city lifestyle. It is approximately 45 minutes away from the International Airport which makes it convenient for national and international visitors.
Attractions:
One of the closer attractions that the whole family would enjoy is the Pretoria National Botanical Gardens that boasts as many as 180 bird species and a variety of indigenous plants and flowers. The Pretoria National Botanical Gardens are open daily from 8am to 6pm. Another magnificent, upmarket venue in Silver Lakes is the Silver Lakes Golf Club where you will enjoy the spectacular views and superb lakes and water features on this course. The Sammy Marks Museum is also an enjoyable outing for the whole family with its Victorian style home in the county setting where you can relax on the lawns, enjoy lunch and a game of croquet. The Pioneer Museum in Silverton is nearby Silver Lakes and you will enjoy watching and learning about the way of life in those days. Here they show you how they baked bread, roasted coffee, ground wheat, made their own candles and you may try your hand at the milking.
Climate:
Silver Lakes enjoys a moderate climate with warm to hot summer days with most rainfall as thunderstorms and cool to very cold winter months.

Terms & Conditions
- The property (you) must offer the 15% saving to all verified members
- Verification is done automatically at the time of an enquiry. It is at the property’s discretion whether to offer the saving for a telephonic enquiry. (As you have no means to verify the membership number, it is advisable to get them to do a formal enquiry so they can be verified).
- If the property is currently running a "Special" greater than 15% then the "Special" price will apply. (No further savings needs to be offered). EXCEPT in the case where the "Special" is lower than 15%. In that case the 15% will apply.
Example: A property offering a 10% discount, must offer an additional 5% discount to valid members - so they get a total 15% saving. - The property must offer valid members the saving all year round. (Properties that pick and chose in which seasons to participate run the risk of being removed from the programme completely. Allowing selective participation defeats the integrity of this initiative).
- The property must not inflate the price before the 15% is applied. Prices displayed should be the rack rate. (The official or advertised price of a room).
- The property must honour any bookings made while the property was participating as a $elect Stays property.
- The property must honour the agreement and the spirit in which the initiative is designed to benefit local tourism.
